Jungle Scenario Guide
Four mobile field-survey staff are stranded after a rainforest plane crash. A known river landing site is 60 miles away without a maintained trail, so the journey may take many days. Teams rank fifteen recovered items for reaching help.

The shared situation
The wreck cannot shelter the group, no search schedule is confirmed, and bottles begin empty. The crew has ordinary field clothing and skills. Streams, frequent rain and dense canopy are fixed conditions; safe passage and successful contact are unknown.
Clarification boundaries
Use the current participant definitions for water-treatment instructions, net coverage, map information and radio capability. Do not add antivenom, climbing systems, guaranteed food catches or a rescue timetable.
Useful discussion questions
- What duration did the team assume?
- Which resource depended on a successful later action?
- Which route or communication uncertainty changed the comparison?
Reference model limits
The retained ordering is an editorial comparison. The long journey and limited food supply raise unresolved coherence questions requiring a separate ranking review. Use the in-app reveal notes to discuss those limits without substituting a new order during play.
Debrief prompts
- Which assumptions explain a difference from the reference?
- How did the team compare an available resource with a possible future supply?
- What new fact would change a disputed priority?
During play
Do not reveal reference positions or rationales before submission. Discuss the arguments participants actually made rather than inferring fear, confidence or ability from an item choice.
